Rusty Shadows

When the sky struggles to keep the sun
And the night strives to liberate the moon

When the night sky wants to build on the surprise
but the moon wants to barge in too soon

When nature makes clouds fiercely bright
When the shimmer of sun isn't gone but gibbous moon's eagerness got no respite

That is the only time when shadows sleep,
Active all day with contours sharp and deep

Fortunately away from borders of caste and creed
Because the silhouettes are same for a stone and a seed

Will the seed blossom or just roll like a stone with time
Is not left to the time worn bets of dime

Unmindful of jewels it adorns,
It is inside this shadow that a fair human dawns

The same human in you that believes in fair play
The same human in you who dies everytime differences of creed make their way

Beware ! Though the shadow is fair , it is not stronger than you
If not awakened, it will fall off from the leaf, like that drop of dew

Time has come, when we think beyond our myopic scope
Because if these shadows rust, dies our only hope....
